Some links on Settled are affiliate links. If you click and buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We are an Amazon Associate and earn from qualifying purchases. We may also participate in other affiliate programs (Impact, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, and direct merchant programs).

How picks are made

Each article lays out its criteria in a "What we tested for" section. Candidates are evaluated against those criteria. We drop any product that fails two or more. Among the survivors, the pick is the one we'd keep using a year in.

We do not accept payment in exchange for inclusion in any article. We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage. When we test a product the publisher provided (rare), we say so in the article.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we update the article and add a correction note at the top with the date. We don't silently revise.

AI tooling disclosure

Articles on Settled may be drafted with AI assistance. Every article is reviewed against the criteria above before publication. We never publish AI-generated content without human review.
